British Airways Path to Net Zero
British Airways is committed to achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050 with a clear roadmap of ambitious short, medium and long-term initiatives which includes
improving operational efficiency, investing in more efficient aircraft, and providing support to development of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), zero emissions
hydrogen-powered aircraft and carbon capture technology.
British Airways becomes the first airline in the world to use SAF produced on a commercial scale in the UK after signing a multi-year agreement with Phillips 66.
