Best Experiences to Get Up to in Malta

Valletta: The capital city is a testimony to aristocratic knights of Malta who were granted these islands by the Kind of Spain in 1530. The city is bounded by two harbours: the Grand Harbour and Marsamxett Harbour with its heart at the 16th-century church, Saint John's Co-Cathedral. The Grandmaster’s Palace is another important attraction boasting splendid paintings and armoury telling the story of knights' military victories.

The Idyllic Gozo Island: With pristine beaches and quaint towns, this little island is the most idyllic destination in Malta and has plenty of cultural attractions, the medieval city of Victoria, a seaside resort and the archaeological site of Ggantija Temples dating back to 3500 BC. The Blue Grotto: According to legends, this was home to the sea nymphs who captivated sailors with their charms. The breathtaking coastal vistas have the same mesmerising quality, the blue waters shine sharp in contrast to the limestone crags and caves. You can take a 20-minute guided boat tour in one of the local fishing boats called luzzus that takes you through the sea past six caves including the Blue Grotto – a 30 m high cave with sparkling pool. It is also a popular scuba-diving destination.
