An Introduction to Lufthansa Allegris

Lufthansa’s new long-haul Allegris product is taking to the skies on 1st May; here’s a little insight into the cabins and what there is to look forward to on board.

Lufthansa’s first Airbus A350 aircraft boasting the new Allegris interior will take to the skies next week, offering an enhanced, upgraded flight experience across all cabins. The new product will firstly be available on select flights between Munich and Vancouver and Toronto, and once at least five new A350 aircraft equipped with the new product are operating, which will be late summer, Allegris will become more consistently available on additional long-haul services, including between Munich and Chicago.

Here's an overview of the new Allegris cabins that will be on offer...

Economy Class Classic

The Allegris Economy Class cabin will boast spacious, latest generation seating, ergonomically designed with adjustable headrests, as well as a 13.3” touchscreen monitor offering access to inflight entertainment, plus Bluetooth connection, allowing you to watch films or listen to music wirelessly.

Other Economy Class seat options include the Preferred Zone – seats in the first rows which allow quicker disembarkation, the Free Neighbor Seat, offering a guaranteed empty adjoining seat, the Legroom Seat, offering 2.7” more space compared to the Classic Seat, and the Extra Legroom Seat, offering at least 3” legroom compared to the Classic Seat – note that some of these seats are located on the aircraft’s emergency exit rows and special conditions apply upon booking.

Premium Economy Class

Look forward to even more legroom, space, and privacy with Allegris Premium Economy Class, offering plenty of on-board perks:

• Individually adjustable lighting
• 10” tablet for entertainment, lighting, & seat control functions
• 18” 4K monitor & headphones with noise-cancelling function & wireless charging

Other seat options in the Allegris Business Class cabin include:

• The Extra Space Seat, allowing even more space for documents, laptops, and in-flight dining, plus extra storage space with compartments allowing for quick access to belongings.
• The Extra Long Bed Seat, offering additional sleeping space with a 7ft 2” long bed and generously sized tables.
• The Privacy Seat, located by the window and distant from the aisle, with a baby bassinet bookable as an extra.

Business Suite

On the first row of the Allegris Business Class cabin are the Business Suites, offering personal suites with higher partitions and closable doors, ample space and storage, a personal wardrobe, mini bar, and larger 27” monitor. Suite options include individual outside suites by the window, or a double suite in the middle formed by two adjoining single suites.

First Class Suite

The Allegris First Class Suite provides maximum comfort and privacy with seats directly at the window. In-flight features include:

• Nearly ceiling-high partitions & doors
• Even more personal space
• Extra-wide seating with lumbar support in the backrest
• Spacious table for in-flight dining / workspace
• High-resolution, 32” 4K monitor
