Freshen Up in Business Class with JetBlue’s Mint

Freshen Up in Business Class with JetBlue’s Mint

jetBlue offers one of the best business class products to cross the pond to the USA, called jetBlue Mint.

The redesigned Mint suite was first announced in January 2021 and travellers have been able to experience it since August 2021 on New York JFK to London Heathrow route. jetBlue was also the first airline to fly directly from the US to London Gatwick.

Currently, the airline flies between London and New York eight times a week in its Airbus A321LR jets complete with next generation Mint suites aboard, offering private suites with a sliding door. They have announced a new Boston route from this summer, alongside other destinations including Atlanta and Los Angeles. Depending on the flights, some aircraft feature a bigger and fancier Mint Studio with enough room for two people.

So, what is it like to fly on jetBlue’s Mint Suite? We think it’s worth your time and money from the thoughtful way they have planned your flying experience, such as how you can eat early if you want to sleep, to the private mini cabins for more seclusion and calm. Here’s why our travel experts at Brightsun Travel think that you’ll feel minted once you fly jetBlue:

jetBlue Mint Seats

Expect a lot of space and fully-flat seats stretching to 6 feet 8 inches in length and featuring Tuft & Needle's Foam cushions, a memory foam pillow and a customisable blanket. All 24 Mint seats have direct access to the aisle, and include a personal 17-inch seat-back screen, wireless charging, a phone ledge, in-seat power and storage space. Each seat has its own sliding door for extra privacy once you’re in the air. Passengers also get thoughtful amenities onboard including a relaxation kit from Wanderfuel and a small pouch carrying an eye mask, ear plugs, toothbrush, and toothpaste.

jetBlue’s Mint Studio available on selected routes, is located in the front row and is even bigger and better with a 22-inch seat-back personal screen, an extra side table, a mirrored vanity and a guest seat to accommodate an additional Mint traveller.

Food and Drinks

jetBlue has partnered with Delicious Hospitality Group to serve menus of NYC hotspots like Charlie Bird, Pasquale Jones, and Legacy Records onboard. The menu served on flights between the US and London is created by the New York City restaurant Pasquale Jones in a small plate–style. Passengers have the option to choose from five different dishes – two hot and three cold along with multiple vegetarian options to build their meal according to preferences.

For those who want to sleep right away, the airline has a set express meal called the Shut-Eye menu with three dishes and a dessert that can be served immediately. It also has an open bar for Mint customers with a wide range of international artisan wines and cocktails inspired by the hospitality group’s specialty cocktail lounge Ada’s Place.  Travellers can consult the airline's menus before their flight to plan their courses.

Entertainment and Other Amenities

There are several other details that make Mint business class top notch. jetBlue offers high-speed in-flight Wi-Fi so you can remain connected and catch up on your work during the flight. Passengers also get noise-cancelling headphones and have access to a wide array of movies, TV shows and news on their personal entertainment systems. There are plenty of airlines offering great business class options but jetBlue experience is worth checking out with its comfortable seats, amazing food options and wonderful extra touches.
