The Wonders of Warner Bros. World™ Abu Dhabi
Warner Bros. World™ Abu Dhabi finally opened to the public on 25th July. We let you in on what this epic attraction has in store for its visitors and why you should think about visiting.
Abu Dhabi is a world-class city with so many exciting attractions, from Ferrari World with the world’s fastest rollercoaster to Yas Waterworld and the Louvre Museum which opened its doors last year. Now you can add Warner Bros. World™ Abu Dhabi to your Abu Dhabi itinerary… Based on Yas Island, this incredible, much-anticipated attraction allows adults to become children again, bringing many comic book heroes and some of the world’s favourite TV and film animation characters to life.
Spanning across 1.65 million square feet, Warner Bros. World™ Abu Dhabi is home to 29 rides and attractions, as well as live entertainment, themed restaurants and retail stores with exclusive merchandise. This brand new fully indoor, air-conditioned theme park ensures one-of-a-kind experiences whatever the weather with six different immersive lands devoted to renowned Warner Bros. characters and franchises, all under one roof. Below is an overview of the park’s exciting lands which all offer immersive and family-friendly experiences.
Warner Bros. Plaza
Warner Bros. Plaza is the portal to the other lands of the park, celebrating everything associated with Warner Bros. The land is reminiscent of Golden Age Hollywood and features plenty of art-deco inspired architecture, as well as a Warner Bros. Studio Store selling souvenirs and merchandise, a Celebrity Photo Studio and several other themed retail shops, souvenir stores and restaurants.
Metropolis
Enter the futuristic city of Metropolis and admire the urban landscape adorned with a skyline of soaring skyscrapers, protected by the one and only Superman and his fellow DC Justice League members including Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and The Flash. This legendary land offers a stunning 4D theatre experience, a thrilling immersive 5D ride and many other adrenaline-filled attractions.
Gotham City
Things turn gloomier and slightly more sinister in the streets of Gotham City where you’ll discover famous DC Super-Villains including The Joker, The Riddler and Harley Quinn, as well as the one and only Batman who brings the villains to justice. There are plenty of action-packed activities in Gotham City including The Riddler themed spinning coaster and The Joker Funhouse.
Cartoon Junction
All of your childhood dreams will come true at Cartoon Junction, where you will encounter beloved characters such as Scooby-Doo, Tom and Jerry and Bugs Bunny in this fun land of rides and attractions. Cartoon Junction is fantastically whimsical and carefree with many immersive experiences including a live interactive show and the high-speed Tom and Jerry: Swiss Cheese Spin rollercoaster.
Bedrock
Yabba-Dabba-Doo! You have travelled back in time to the Stone Age in Bedrock, and you have the opportunity to get up close to Fred, Wilma and Dino as well as their neighbours Barney and Betty in this pre-historic land. You can take a river tour around Bedrock, indulge in Stone Age snacks and treats at Bronto Burgers and Ribs and take home some pre-historic souvenirs at the Bedrock Boutique.
Dynamite Gulch
You’ll be stepping forward in time in Dynamite Gulch, a Southwest American desert land featuring iconic Looney Tunes characters. Look forward to encountering the beloved duo Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner, as well as The Jetsons and Marvin the Martian. Dynamite Gulch features many wacky, action-packed attractions including The Jetsons Cosmic Orbiter spaceship and the thrilling Fast and Furry-ous roller coaster.
Warner Bros. World™ Abu Dhabi makes for an ideal daytrip and allows you to enter the wonderful world of Animation and DC. The opening of this immense attraction has contributed to Abu Dhabi’s development as a tourist destination and it’s a fantastic addition to what is already on offer at Yas Island. General Admission day tickets cost AED 295 if bought online which is around £60, and the price includes free parking, access to all rides and attractions and seats at a variety of shows. You can buy The Flash Pass if you’d like to skip the ride queues.
