Hurray! Canada is open for international travel. Here’s why this North American hotspot should be next on your bucket list…

With the recent news that Canada has been moved to the green list for travel and that the country has opened up its borders to fully vaccinated international travellers, we think now is the perfect time to start planning an epic Canadian adventure. In Canada you can look forward to immersing yourself in culture and taking epic backdrop photos by mountains, turquoise lakes, coastlines, and forests.

There are plenty of destination choices for your Canada adventure; whether you’d prefer a cultural city break or escape to the wilderness, there’s somewhere special for you here. Check out some of our favourite Canadian destinations below and what they have to offer!

Vast Vancouver

Head to the west coast of Canada in British Columbia to discover Vancouver, best known for its historic sightseeing attractions, dynamic nightlife, enthralling museums, and charming neighbourhoods. Vancouver is culturally diverse with influences from several other countries, and the city celebrates its culture with vibrant festivals and events. There are plenty of incredible day trip adventures from Vancouver within easy reach of the city; the scenic Bowen Island and its beaches and bays are just a short ferry ride away, and the famed Whistler ski resort is less than a two hour drive from the city.

Charming Calgary

Visit Calgary, the largest city in the state of Alberta situated at the foothills of the Canadian Rockies in Western Canada. Calgary is a green city with more than 800 hectares of parkland, and is also a cultural hub with galleries, museums, and a dynamic street art scene. This western Canadian city is best known for its iconic Calgary Stampede event that happens each year, devoted to the city’s cowboy culture. We also love how Calgary is a gateway to the Rockies; the Banff National Park is around an hour’s drive from the city, filled with picture-perfect lakes and snow-topped peaks.

Majestic Montreal

Montreal is situated in the Quebec province of Eastern Canada, offering a blend of old-world charm with modernity. The city is renowned for its French-Canadian culture and there are plenty of stunning sightseeing attractions to explore, from top-class museums to Gothic-style structures and state-of-the-art galleries. Must-dos in Montreal include hiking up Mount Royal Park for panoramic city vistas, browsing the open-air Jean-Talon Market for a foodie experience like no other, and spending an afternoon at the Musée d'art Contemporain de Montréal to admire more than 7000 permanent artworks.
